These terms, in conjunction with the terms and conditions of DesignMyNight (the “DMN Terms”), govern our respective rights and obligations in relation to your attendance at the venue known as “Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen” (the “Venue”) and your attendance of and enjoyment of the services provided to you as part of your booking (the “Event”). YOUR ATTENTION IS PARTICULARLY DRAWN TO THE PROVISIONS RELATING TO CANCELLATION, NO-SHOWS, YOUR OTHER OBLIGATIONS AND OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.
Bookings
All booking enquiries for groups of 20 or more guests must be made through the Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen website at https://www.bermondseybarandkitchen.co.uk/bookings or by contacting our booking team at enquiries@bermondseybarandkitchen.co.uk.
All reservations to groups of 20 or more guests must be secured with a card authentication hold of £15 per person unless a pre-order and prepayment have been arranged. No payment will be taken by us unless you cancel your booking outside the allowed timeframe or are a ‘no-show’ (i.e. you fail to attend your booking without any warning).
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. Please review the details carefully and contact us immediately if anything needs to be amended.
We reserve the right to make minor changes to your booking where necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the Venue and the safety and comfort of all guests. Such changes may include, but are not limited to, adjustments to table allocation, menu substitutions, or minor alterations to the timing of your reservation. Where any significant change is necessary, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and work with you to find a suitable alternative.
Some group bookings may require a minimum spend, which will be confirmed at the time of your booking enquiry. This amount will be applied toward a pre-order and/or bar tab. Please note that the minimum spend must be met and is non-refundable (even if you fail to consume, for example, any food and/or drink you have pre-ordered).
Booking Time Slots
Reservations are offered in specific time slots to ensure smooth service for all guests.
Please arrive on time for your booking. If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, we reserve the right to reallocate your table to other guests. This will be considered a no-show, and you will be charged accordingly.
Our standard booking slot is 2 hours. Requests for longer slots may be granted at our discretion, depending on availability and group size. During busy periods, we may ask you to vacate your table after your allotted time to accommodate other guests.
Minimum Spend & Pre-Order Payments
If your booking requires a minimum spend or if you have made a pre-order, payment must be settled prior to your reservation. If there is a minimum spend requirement, it will be assigned to your bar tab for the Event.
If your booking requires a minimum spend, the following payment terms apply:
50% of the minimum spend is payable by you on confirmation your booking; and
the remaining 50% of the minimum spend must be settled 5 working days prior to your reservation.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Please note that credit card payments may incur up to a 2.5% processing fee.
For private hire bookings that require special requests or additional requirements - including but not limited to the moving of tables or furniture, decorations, AV setup or screen usage, microphone usage, printing, or the setup of an additional satellite bar with extra staff allocated solely to that area - a 2.5% management fee may be applied and will be confirmed prior to your reservation.
If full payment is not received by the due date, the reservation may be cancelled, and any initial deposit forfeited.
If your agreed minimum spend is not met on the day of your Event, the remaining balance will not be refunded as it forms part of the cost of the hire agreement for the space at the Venue.
If your actual spend on the night exceeds the pre-paid amount, the remaining balance must be settled by card before the end of your event unless alternative payment terms have been previously agreed in writing.
Catering
This venue has various catering options including The Joint food, as well as pizza.
For larger groups, bespoke catering options are available upon request through our trusted catering partner(s).
Guests must provide all dietary restrictions and allergy information in writing prior to the event. While we work closely with our caterers to accommodate dietary needs, responsibility lies with guests if incorrect information is provided. We take reasonable precautions to avoid cross-contamination but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. If you have any questions or concerns about ingredients or preparation methods, please speak to a member of our team prior to your reservation.
No external food or drink may be brought into the Venue without prior written agreement from management.
